Climate change is the greatest environmental challenge facing the world today. Rising global temperatures will bring changes in weather patterns, rising sea levels and increased frequency and intensity of extreme weather events.
Climate change is accelerated by increased levels of CO2 in our atmosphere – 27% of which comes from carbon emissions from private homes.
By making changes now to the way our homes are built. We will be making the world a better place for future generations.
The British Government is embracing this principle; from October 2007 all new build homes with a zero carbon rating will be exempt form Stamp Duty and as new builds are already VAT-free, building your own home is not only a responsible, ecological choice, it is also economical.
By 2027, we believe that all homes will need to adhere to strict eco guidelines – utilising all available technology to harness the power of the sun, wind and waves.
